Name: “Aimee Valentine” Aka Aimee Roberts
Age: 18
Canon?: Yes?
Band Name/Job:
Live! Dance! Die! [Secondary Singer/Guitar]
Appearance:
Aimee has long dark brown hair that falls poker straight, without the constant use of straighteners, unlike so many ‘scene kids’, who wouldn’t be able to live without their hair products. Some would say it’s a blessing, she says it’s curse. She’s one of those people who would love their hair to actually do something every once in a while. However, the most striking feature about her would easily be her deep brown eyes. They’re that particular shape and colour that stand out a mile, catching everybody’s eyes in their soulful, sexy gaze. Usually they’re the first things someone comments on when they see her for the first time.
Out of ‘Live! Dance! Die!’, it could be argued that Aimee is at least a ½ of the theatrical performance all by herself. Out of the band members she is the one most likely to dress up and ‘put on a performance’ as it were. Mostly this means black flowing dresses combined with a corset top, blood red lips, and ‘gothic’ make-up designs. Occasionally she might throw in a top hat worn at a jaunty angle for good measure, but that is basically the main parts of her stage costume. She is often found to be the attention grabber for all guys at the shows, and rightly so. Yeah, she’s hot and she knows it.
Picture(s):
Parents: Calvin and Calico Roberts
Siblings: Lizzy [sister, 12]
Pets?: None, Aimee adores hamsters but is rather terrible with pets.
History: Her dad is as American as they come and a great believer in “good old fashioned rock” and her mother is a Italian gothic beauty. So naturally, from an early age, Aimee was exposed to music. On one side was her father educating her in the ways of rock and roll, as he put it and on the other was her mother constantly playing music as ‘alternative’ as you could possibly get. Needless to say her taste in music became rather interesting, ranging from anything from Bon Jovi, ZZ top and Motorhead to industrial gothic metal. Her style became equally as unique too. She went through some stages, such as punk rocker, Goth chick, and all out rocker, but eventually she combined her styles into one, taking the theatrics of Rock ‘n’ Roll and Goth, and throwing in a good helping of punk edginess.
It was only natural that as soon as she could walk, talk and strut her stuff, she would become a musician. Originally she took up singing and then was classically trained as a cellist. But as she grew older she dropped the cello playing and focused on her singing, every now and then trying to play guitar.
At 15 her mother and father both died of a drugs overdose and Aimee slipped into a depression, being forced to live with her aunt and uncle who hated her “Noisy music and horrible style”. If it wasn’t for music coming into her life once more in the form of her first proper band, she would have inevitably fallen to the same fate as her parents.
At 18, she is a living reminder for all depressed, addicted and downtrodden people in the world to keep on fighting. She is nothing of her former self and the life of the party. And all thanks to ‘Live! Dance! Die!’, for her, the party called life goes on.
Personality:
Strengths:
[x] Singing
[x] Strong Willed
[x] Genuinely a rather humorous and witty girl
Weaknesses:
[x] Over Confident, and often, full of herself.
Opinion on Self:
[x] Sexy/Hot/Cute/etc – depending on what mood she’s in she uses a vast variety of words to basically describe one thing, she loves herself too much. Or is she just putting on a bit of a god-complex type attitude because…
[x] Great Fun to be around
Opinion on Life:
[x] “Sucks mostly …”
[x] “But music is my life…”
RP Sample:
Jade smiled happily as she skipped up the stair to the Owlery. Her winter cloak was pulled tightly around her delicate 1st year frame. There was just something about owls that held an image of great inspiration to the young Weasley girl. The way they could just soar freely through the skies without a care in the world. Sure they had to carry letters to people, but true how hard could that be compared to a double history of magic lesson, or potions? They had it easy in her mind.
She would have loved to have a pet of her own, but it would have been dangerous for the poor thing at her house. Anything would have suited her fine, as long as it wasn't a rat like Uncle Ron had once had. Though if she had, had her choice she would have gotten a great big majestic owl, with feathers that could be likened to the freshly fallen snow currently surrounding Hogwarts castle. That would have been her dream pet. but that was just it ... it was a dream. She didn't have enough money to get herself such an Owl and like her parents would shell out for one either...
So the first year would have just had to be happy with visiting the Owlery in her spare time. Now was once of those times. Jade stepped up into the Owlery, to see that today she wasn't alone. With her typical first year cheerfulness Jade waved at the girl ... a Slytherin she noticed ...
"Hi"
Anything else?
[x] While she is an “absolutely amazing!” and “incredibly versatile singer” (As quote from various reviews), she isn’t as good on guitar as some people in the business are, however that’s not to say she can’t get by. (By incredably versitile they litterally mean she can do anything with her voice, low and high vocals, screams, gutteral growls, you name it she can probably do it to a pretty decent standard. Not that she would actually want to shout down a mic every night ...)
